CHARACTERS
Sara Crewe
Sara is a very bright, kind, and creative girl. She is loves to create stories and tell them to little kids in Miss Minchin's Select Seminary for girls. She is a good friend to Ermengarde and Becky, but in Lottie's case, a mother. Sara is very rich, she has a lot of expensive and elegant dresses, gloves, hats, shoes, and many more. She replaced Lavinia and became the show pupil of Miss Minchin which caused Lavinia to envy and bully her. Eventhough she is very rich, she still remains to be generous to her friends. She shares with them her toys and dolls and plays with them too. Because of the certain turn of events, a lot of problems and challenges came her way, but she is strong, brave, and optimistic enough to surpass all of them. All of these good traits helped her to overcome her problems and not let them affect her negatively. She is truly an epitome of a selfless, strong, and beautiful princess.

Ermengarde is Sara's best friend. Sara looked past her not-so-attractive self and learns that beneath that is a loyal and true friend. She is an insecure girl because she is not as smart and clever as her father. She does not meet the expectations of her father.

Becky is a black girl which exposes her to discrimination. She is a scullery maid in Miss Minchin's Select Seminary for Girls. She became friends with Sara when she became poor. In the end, Sara got Becky as her own maid. Becky was saved by Sara from Miss Minchin's cruelty and abuse.

Captain Crewe is Sara's father. He loves Sara very much and give her everything she need and wants. He started the Diamond Mines and died because of that leaving Sara with all of his properties.

Miss Minchin is a very mean, and envious person. She is a jealous and resentful of a young girl because Sara is a lot nicer and better than her. Miss Minchin is very pretentious. She is nice to students when their parents are around and if they are rich but if not her cruelty will be experienced by these innocent kids. She lacks compassion and only care about material things. She still took Sara in when she became poor but became cruel to her. Generally, she can be described as a cruel person.

He is Captain Crewe's friend and business partner in the Diamond Mines. He was with Sara's father when he died. He looked for Sara for a long time and unexpectedly found her. He explain everything to Sara and apologized to her because of Captain Crewe's death. He then took care of Sara and gave her what is rightfully hers.

Ram Dass is an Indian Servant who is with Mr. Carrisford. He is very helpful to Sara because he placed gifts and goodies in Sara's attic. He owns a monkey which goes into Sara's attic and that where he and Sara first encounter and know each other.
